His pumpkin picture. It was 47 degrees and there were two dogs running around playing very close to us. On top of that Robert was terrified that Nolan was going to get sick from being outside, so we didn't take a lot of time to get the picture just right. Right after this picture was taken he fell face first into the grass. I couldn't get to him in time to prevent his crude introduction to grass, but he didn't cry - so it must not have been too traumatic for him.

Another picture of Nolan's messy face. This is the outcome EVERY time he eats now.

but that didn't last very long.

At first he was okay with the sunglasses . . .

Robert was feeding him oatmeal and carrots and he kept rubbing his hands on his messy face spreading the food all over him. Needless to say, he got a bath after this.
His teeth were bothering him this afternoon, so there was no way that I was getting a smile out of him!

He loves that finger!

Same game, different night.
Robert laid him on the bed, threw the sheets on him, and lifted them off really fast. He LOVED it!!!

On the floor at his Great Grandma's house.

With his Aunt Margaret and his Great-Grandma.

Here he is with his Aunt Margaret the morning that we left.

This is Nolan with his Great-Grandma. We had her sit on the couch, my dad got into position with the camera ready to take the picture as soon as we sat Nolan down - because we expected him to immediately start crying. However, he didn't seem to mind at all. Go figure. A weekend of crying if he wasn't attached to his mom's shoulder, and then the morning we leave he's okay with someone else holding him.

Here he's screaming because his Aunt Margaret is holding him while his mother takes a bathroom break. He has definately reached the "I don't want anyone but mom" stage.

So cute!

Already mastering the keys.

Here he is sitting at his new baby grand piano. His Great-Aunt Margaret gave it to him as an early Christmas present. It has a little coaster for his sippy cup and everything. Sooo adorable!

I guess that it's the flash that causes him to make these faces. It's just sooo darn cute!

One of the new things that he likes to do is to take his paci out of his mouth and chew on the side of it. It must feel good on his gums.

Another picture taken after his bath.

I LOVE this picture! It was taken post-bathtime. He was just hanging out with his finger in his mouth.

After his bath in his Great-Grandma's sink. What a look!

Everything goes in the mouth.

Oh well.

Almost!

"Maybe I can get two of these things in ONE hand!"

And a little closer up...

Robert and I could not stop laughing when we saw this picture! Sooo cute!

Cute Nolan with his fuzzy daddy.

This is THE cutest picture of him EVER!!!!!! Look at that face! Cute outfit too.

This is him giving up on using fussing as a means to getting me to take him off of his tummy. He just lays there, defeated and unhappy. Just recently he has begun turning over from his belly to his back (he has already mastered turning over from his back to his belly). I've been finding him in his crib on his back in the mornings, smiling up at me, looking very proud of himself.

This is a great picture of his face!

I think that this was a smile! He loves this little toy. Yes, it does light up - of course.

Sporting his cool sweatshirt and jean look.

He has gotten much more enthusiastic when it comes to playing with toys.

He's getting sooo big!

He isn't a thumb sucker, but he is an index and middle finger sucker.
